♥ Best lip care products and Featured Bloggers ♥

Hello my Beauties,

How have you been? It’s finally weekend again and I bet we all can use some relaxing time out, to pamper ourselves and feel refreshed and happy again.

Today I would like to talk to you about lip care. In many parts of the world it is still winter and our lips tend to be dry and even hurt, if we forget to moisturize them frequently.
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with lip butters, special lip creams and gentle scrubs. As many of us tend to wear deeper colors during this time of the year, we shouldn’t forget to keep the lips nice and smooth, otherwise your high-end dark red lipstick, that you can’t wait to put on, is going to look simply ridiculous.
All that made wonder, what do other beauties all over the world like to use on a daily basis, to keep their lips looking gorgeous? So I asked around and that is what my fellow beauty bloggers had to say.

Meet the Beauties:

Hi, i’m Georgina.

My favourite lip balm at the moment has to be the Burts Bee’s pink blossom lip balm.
Burts Bee's pink blossom lip balmThere’s loads of others I really like too, like the EOS lip balm in honeysuckle, the SOS lip balm, or the Fresh Sugar one, but this is the one that feels like it really gives my lips a treatment – where most of the others just feel like they sit on my lips –
this one feels like it sinks in and heals them.

It adds a pretty sheer flush of colour too, not too bright, but nice and subtle.

I always apply it before I go to bed, so I wake up in the morning with soft lips ready for me to apply whatever lipstick/gloss/balm I decide to use 🙂

Hey, i’m Gemma.

During these colder months, the central heating plays havoc with my skin, hair and lips. My lips are left dry, and sore.. and no balm ever seems hydrating enough to rid the dryness, and allow me to wear whatever lip product I fancy. Winter usually means, I have to steer well away from matte lip products as dry lips and matte lipsticks are arch enemies.

Through reading blogs, and watching countless YouTube videos.. the same product was mentioned over and over again.
The Lush Lip Scrub! At £5.25 this little jar of flavoured sugar has transformed the lips of beauty bloggers worldwide.

Lush Lip ScrubMine are no different.. this incredible scrub is quick, easy and non-messy! All I have to do is press my finger into the sugar, and then rub the granules into my lips to smooth, and soften. My Lip Scrub happens to be Popcorn flavoured, which makes the licking off, of the scrub delicious. You only have to use the tiniest amount, and I’ve only felt the need to use it once a week so it’s going to last a long time. I have never used a product as effective (and delicious!) as this scrub… I love it!
I’ve got my eyes on the Bubblegum variety now! Thanks to this little pot of wonder, I’m able to wear whatever finish of lipstick I want… and my lips have never felt so healthy. I also love the cute little touch Lush use to display their use by dates on their products!

Hiya, my name is Lili.

It’s no secret that I am a great lover of my lip products.
From lipstick to lip-balm and lip-tint to lip-gloss…lip care is certainly an LGL (Let’s Get Lippy) beauty staple. I’ve recently completed my 30 Lipsticks in 30 Days Challenge, unveiling the lipsticks which came up top, with my 5/5 ‘lippy’ stars HERE.
So my lips have literally been the canvas for some 30+ lipsticks over recent weeks (and this doesn’t include the ones that I’ve worn on special occasions!)

The question is, what happens when your lips need to take a breather?  Well, I’ve found the perfect lip care solution and it goes by the name of Satin Lips!
Mary Kay Satin Lips

Satin Lips is a two-part lip care system produced by Mary Kay Cosmetics and it’s an absolute Best Seller!

I discovered this product from a friend of mine, who became a Mary Kay Consultant and I’ve never looked back since. The first step consists of a lip mask, with tiny microscopic beads which help to buff away dead skin. I like to use a dampened flat cotton pad for this part. The balm acts as the second step of the treatment, and moisturizes your lips to help keep them silky soft. Utilising these simple steps, helps to give you salon quality at a fraction of the price!
I must admit, before I used Satin Lips, my lips were fairly dry, with traces of chapped skin. They now feel newly refreshed. What’s great about this product, is that I only need to buff once every week – two weeks, depending on the condition and weather. I carry the lip balm around with me in my bag, so that I can top up on the satin action whenever I need to.

Mary Kay sells Satin Lips as a duo-set, which works out to be more cost-effective. Alternatively you can also buy each item individually, should you ever run out of either the balm or mask.

Ladies, my lips are now ‘Satin Certified’, so I would definitely recommend that you experience Mary Kay Satin Lips for yourself.
