Blog Update & New Skincare Journey

Oh Hi, Hello There!

Remember me?

I guess it’s been a while, hasn’t it?! I’ll give you a hint – I was that beauty and lifestyle blogger with a crazy obsession for nail polish, hand creams and occasional beauty DIY’s.
So what happened you’ll ask? If I can be completely honest with you – life happened, as we all know it sometimes does and besides that, my motivation and dedication to makeup started to slowly drifft away, up until the point where I wasn’t interested in buying new eye shadow, blushes and lipsticks. I missed all the new releases and unsubscribed from the brands I loved before. Would you say, it’s a growing process in a way?

It doesn’t mean, I started walking bare-faced all the time, but the amount of products I went for wasn’t compareble with a full make up face from the beginning of this {Beauty expression by Luchessa} blog. As you might imagine, it didn’t feel right reviewing and writing about products I wasn’t for the most part interested in anymore.

So what’s happening with this space now? I can tell you a little secret, I’ll be turning 38 this late Fall (Yes, I said it!) and am totally dedicated to skin care these days. I’ve always been interested in moisturizing and pampering, but I have been especially careful and deliberative with the products over the past year.

Caring for my skin, made me look outside the box a little bit. No I’m not specifically taking about green & organic beauty, I searched across the boarders and found my new passion called “Asian cosmetics”.

You might remember me talking about Korean skin care from Innisfree back in the days, when I was testing the Canola Honey Trial Kit  or the Berrisom Placenta Firming Hydro Gel Eye Patches – that’s when I thought how amazing and different the Korean skin care products actually were.

Nowadays I’m very enthusiatic about sheet masks and eye patches, that are so huge in Asia, particularely in Korea. Of course there’s also a big skin care & beauty market in Japan & Taiwan, so I’m really looking forward to discover their products as well. (I may or may not have already purchased some Japanese goodies, that I want to start testing in the near future.)

In the past months I’ve been very active on Instagram on that topic, so if you’re curious about my reviews on facial sheet mask & foot mask, eye patches, you are more than welcome to stop by {BeautyByLuchessa}, take a peek and share your thoughts.

Writing short reviews on Instagram made me realize that I’ve missed blogging and the interaction with you guys.

That’s why I’m reviving {Beauty expression by Luchessa} and making it a skin care blog with potential additions to related topics in the future. Hope you are sticking with me this time around.

Thanks for taking the time to read and until next time – stay beautiful!
