Grimm’s Fairy Tales: {Puss in Boots} Nail Art Tutorial

Hello my Beauties,

hope you’re ready for the weekend, beause I definitely am. It has been a tiring & busy week over all, so i’m really looking forward to get some sleep done.
Today i would like you to meet Viviana and her great nail polish & art related blog: Nailart-addict

For the Grimm’s Fairy Tale series here on my blog, Viviana came up with a {Puss in Boots} design, so hope you enjoy. I bet everyone knows this wonderful tale from the seventeenth century, about a cat who uses trickery and deceit to gain power, wealth, and the hand of a princess in marriage for his penniless and low-born master.

Hi all, how are you doing… are you ready for a little fairy tale? I am Viviana from the Netherlands a bit of a crazy blogger with an addiction for Nailart… does it ring a bell? ;-)

When Luchessa asked me a while ago to do a guest post I was really trilled. I felt honored and a little bit nervous at the same time. But as I start thinking about it I really got in to the mood. A fairytale figure … hmm what shall I do… And soon Puss in Boots crossed my mind.

Now I needed an inspiration source an example. So I looked on Google and found a color plate. Yes perfect for me. Because I only wanted the shape of Puss in Boots so I could add my own part e to it.

Normally I paint all my nails with an image, but as I have a tremendous tremor at the moment I did one nail. And made a picture of each single step so you can see how Puss in Boots came to life on my nail.

I used acrylic paints for Puss in Boots instead of nail polish. The advantage of acrylic paint is that you can always easy correct mistakes.

When I finished I applied a layer of topcoat to seal and smoothen Puss in Boots.

I hope you enjoyed Puss in Boots. Remember to live your dream.

So what do you think, my Beauties? Isn’t that just the funniest mustache? Totally cute. I really liked the big cat eyes – they turned out so very expressive. Please visit Vivianas Blog for more nail polish swatches and designs or chat with her on Twitter.

What was you latest nail art attempt? Share your links with me.
And in case you missed my latest one – it was this cute Snowflakes design.

Come back next week for more nail art and other fun posts!

Ohhh! How great it is! I have always loved this tale (and then the film) and I’m now on my way to try it (note to me: get some acrilics asap)

The acrylic paint is def really great for painting some advanced designs in my opinion. I’m just getting used to it myself. Let me know if you create something. :)
