{Retail Therapy} – KIKO, Clair’s, Flormar Haul

Hello my Beauties,

today i have a haul for you. And it’s not just a simple haul – it’s more of a retail therapy.
Now that school starts kicking in and i’m also working at the same time, there is definitely a big need of a little time out in a mall – besides i just love shopping during this time of the year, since you get to see all the magical fall decorations smoothly going over into the holiday season.

I know my blog has been kind of heavy on nail polishes & manicure lately, but if i’m honest i have been purchasing much more nail polishes & tools for a mani, as any other cosmetic items lately.
Don’t worry, there are going to be other accessory, city hot spots and home decor posts coming soon.

And now to the actual haul:
Retail therapy nail polishesYesterday i had two hours in-between school & work, so i decided to drive by a big shopping mile in the west center of Berlin, where many different stores are located close to each other. (Great thing about shopping early in the day, it’s usually less crowded, than in the late afternoon or evenings.)

My first stop was at the newly opened Flormar store – one of the two existing shops here in town.
According to the sales girl they did have the whole nail polish range, that Flormar has to offer, so i spent quite a while going through all the finishes & textures. It was very interesting to see how similar or different the polishes were to the already well known big & expensive brands.
To test out the quality I decided to pick up a few polishes from various lines.

Here are the swatches:
Flormar nail polish swatchesSurprisingly the glitter polish is quite opaque, so you can only use it as a topper if you put on only one coat.
By applying two coats you can easily wear it alone. The multi colored shimmer looks so beautiful in the direct light, that i can’t wait to wear it.
The other two Flormar polishes were the Icy Top in 04 – a nice topper with differently shaped flakies and Max Growth made for soft, easily breaking nails that you can use as your base coat and which i heard so much about. So now i’m very curious to see if there are going to be any change after using the max growth for a few weeks.
Flormar haulNext stop was at Clair’s, where a certain polish was just smiling at me for a particular reason, that i’m telling you about in a moment.
Clairs blue polishA great denim blue with silver shimmer in it.
A while ago i got my hands on a great Ciaté polish in 076 regatta and in the bottle this “Blue” looks almost identical. So i want to make the comparison test, to see if the Clair’s one could be a good dupe for a pricier Ciaté polish. Stay tuned.

Last stop was at the italian store KIKO, as i needed an everyday lipstick for work. KIKO is known for having different lines of lip products, but they also tend to dry out my lips, if i pick the wrong texture.
This time my focus was on the Crystal Sheer range, since i think the packaging it comes in is simply modern cool & stylish.
Kiko crystal sheer lipstick 413I like the matte black sleek packaging with classic white letters and the futuristic metal with a twist surrounding the actual lipstick bullet. Doesn’t it look great?!
Kiko crystal sheer lipstick 413 I swatched quite a few lipsticks and decided to go with number 413, as it’s a little sheer but with enough color to make your lips pretty & glossy. I think it should be fine for work time. (btw: it looks a little darker in person than on the picture.)
Now i just need to find out how it wears and if you’re interested, i could do a full review on it ones i had enough time to test it.

Q: Have you purchased any KIKO, Clair’s or Flormar products lately? What are your favorites so far?
