Stunning Stocking Stuffers: {All About Hair}

Hello my Beauties,

do you know what i like about fall – especially the month of november?

Besides the obvious beautiful colors, my parents 35th Jade Wedding Anniversary (this year), cozy sweaters, hot chocolate in a big fun cup and delicious homemade cookies, i like to start looking for holiday gift ideas.

In my experience the best time to shop for your loved ones or even for yourself is the end of november, when there is plenty to choose from, but the stores aren’t yet too full with people nervously looking to buy at least something.
So i admit, i’ve started browsing through different home decor, craft stores, cooking tools and beauty sites to get a good overview on what’s available right now and what kind of theme i want to pick for my gift ideas.

Because i was so much into hair treatments, masks and good shampoos this year (you might remember my latest DIY Henna Hair Mask), i decided to go with the {All About Hair} theme this year, since every ones in a while all of our hair needs those miracle workers.

In this post i’d like to share some ideas with you that would make good Stocking Stuffers.

Dr. Hauschka Neem Hair Lotion
Found on

Dr__Hauschka_Neem_Hair_Lotion_100ml_1377784056Why i think it’s great:

If you tend to have a sensitive scalp – this is something you should get your hands on.
The lotion keeps your scalp from getting flakey and too dry, especially during the cold time of the year.
Basically the product is designed to aid both oily and dry scalp conditions, because it contains Calendula which soothes and calms irritation and Neem Leaf Extract which discourages bacteria and prevents flaking.
So you get an antiseptic and calming effect in one and the same bottle.

Tip from Dr. Hauschka:
Neem Hair Lotion acts as a great freshener in between shampooing, or if you are unable to wash your hair for a period of time.

If that means the lotion can also be your “dry shampoo” kind of product – even better!
You can get 100ml for about €20, which is going to last for a long time.

Yes To Tomatoes Volumizing Shampoo
Seen on

Yes_To_Tomatoes_Volumizing_Shampoo_500ml_1363966994Why i think it’s great:

The brand Yes to isn’t really new on the market and has a few really good products out there.
One of the key ingredients in this particular one is the Lycopene that can be found in tomatoes. It’s a great antioxidant that helps to fight off those free radicals that tend to break your hair over time.
The shampoo is also loaded with vitamin C, vitamin E and carotene, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Green Tea Extract, Dead Sea Minerals and (it’s a big plus point in my eyes) is Petroleum, SLS & Paraben Free.

Yes to says:

It’s date night, time to tease up those tantalising tresses! Yes To Tomatoes Volumizing Shampoo cleanses, volumises and thickens your hair. Your lavish locks will be vibrant, volumised and ready to go in no time. Go ahead, dazzle your date.

I don’t have exactly locks, but my hair isn’t straight either, so i need something to make it look fuller without converting me into a lion.
I don’t think you can actually go wrong with €10 for
500ml and if you’re rather a fan of other Yes to lines, you can say YES to Cucumbers, Blueberries or Carrots.

Sukin Protein Hair Treatment
Found on

Sukin_Protein_Hair_Treatment_100ml_1376040770Why i think it’s great:

Ones every 2-3 weeks i really like using some deep conditioners, nurturing masks or any other kind of treatment to keep my hair looking heathy and shiny.

But first things first. What do we know about the brand Sukin

Sukin is an environmentally conscious, natural personal care company from Australia and their products do not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) – a potentially harmful & harsh chemical found in most soap and shampoos, Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES),  synthetic fragrances, animal derivatives, harsh detergents, propylene glycol, artificial colours, triethanolamine, mineral oils, EDTA, or parabens. This is why they are classified as organic brand.

What exactly is Sukin Protein Hair Treatment all about?
The treatment contains aloe vera, calendula, lavender and chamomile and a little bit of the product goes a long way. It has a thick gel-like consistency and does hydrate and smooth your hair after just 15 minutes of leaving it in. Of course you can also use it as a regular conditioner, that you put for only 5 minutes on your hair while being under the shower.
You can get the jar of 100ml for €12.

By the way You can Save 10% Off Hair products by using the code hairsave10 in the promotional code box at the checkout when you buy 3 or more items. Valid now until Midnight GMT 20th November 2013.

And of course i can’t forget to mention the following product, as told you a few posts ago, that it was on my to buy list.

Argan Treatment Oil
Found on

-confume-argan-treatment-oilWhy i think it’s great:

It’s a well-known fact the Argan Oil is a special rich oil extracted from Argania Tree fruit, which only grows in the desert of Sahara in Morocco. It contains a lot of Vitamin E that helps to maintain your hair healthy, as well as your dry skin areas if needed.
I like how my hair feels after using argan oil. It’s really manageable and soft.

Tip from Confume:

Use it before drying your hair. You can protect the damage your hair would get from the hair dryer. Mix a certain amount of Argan oil with shampoo or Treatment to boost the supply of nutrition to your hair.

In my experience the oil is best used on damp hair, a little amount right in the middle of the drying process.
You can get a 120ml bottle for USD19.00.

So why do i think these type of hair product would make a good Stocking Stuffer?

It’s simple. Because i think that active protecting and nurturing of the hair made a difference for me this year, since i decided to take better care of what i’m actually putting on my scalp. I started reading the ingredients lists more careful and came to the conclusion, that sometimes it’s really worth spending time investigating and reading reviews on products, before you run out & buy them.
This is why i want to do something really beneficial for my friends & family this holiday season 2013.

You can always combine any of the mentioned products with a comb or wooden brush or maybe even a nice hair towel. That way you’re going to have a great stocking stuffer.

Go hair care!!

Are you a fan of hair treatments at all, my Beauties?
If so, you’re welcome to leave me your tips & ideas. I recommend you taking a look on the products i just told you about, since in my humble opinion they are worth trying and would make your mom, sister or friend really happy.
