There aren't any added chemicals or herbs that can cause any problems that I know of. I'd say give it a try if you can deal with being a little hungry, just be sure that once you stop doing the diet you don't go back to bad eating habits completely. Milk alternatives are fine, but watch out for the ones that have a lot of added sugar. Herbs — Coriander leaves, oregano, rosemary, thyme, and dill.
