This archetype could make for a cool enemy, or for a good Support character in an evil party that likes to use undead.

I started to recreate your work a few seconds ago. Even then, they're far behind core classes like Bard or Cleric. What do you lose? This is pretty campaign specific, but Hard Hitter is quite good if you face a lot of constructs with hardness.

Still, it's flavorful and you don't lose a lot by taking it. Blood Boil : MM Ew. Ironskin Chant CV ppathfinder Again, i love damage reduction, but it's just for one round and for a single ally. For a Dip, Pole Fighting is nice but doesn't really kick in until higher levels; for Full progression, giving up Armor Training and Weapon Training really hurts even though you can get effectively the basic bonuses of Weapon Training with polearmsbut Flexible Flanker is nice for battlefield control, and Step Aside and Polearm Parry are nice defensive options, although the former is mostly obsolete by the time you get it due to progression of Pole Fighting.

The loss of bombs hurts this archetype a lot, and its abilities while interesting don't make up for it. Charm Monster : Makes monster believe it is your ally. The loss of mutagen is not as bad as it looks, since this can be bought back with a discovery. Power: 0, Versatility: 0.

Accept Affliction. Arcane Insight Ex : The ability to find traps removes the need for a Rogue, and your bonus from Careful Teamwork can make you very skilled at Disable Device. Bardic Performance : Fantastic and versatile, Bardic Performance is the Bard's primary option in combat. Bardic Performance : Slumbersong and Mass Slumber Song are possibly the most effective sleep effects in the game. Silk to Steel. Demanding Message. Unnatural Lust.


While this trade isn't terrible on its own, paying four exploits and getting some nearly-useless abilities on the side makes it a questionable archetype. Your players sometimes missing out on what you say is the rare and woundrous magic in your campaing. Why do they lose Medium armor proficiency? Providing the creature fails their Wisdom saving throw, that creature has to carry out your suggestion to the best of their ability.

Alas, with only two bard levels, that's a long way out of reach. As blurguise only while you are moving. This allows the GM resource control and gives the player something to do every round in combat.

The bonuses scale as quickly as Inspire Courage, but the saving throw bonus applies to more things, and you get an AC bonus instead of the tiny damage bonus. Targets of this spell automatically gain the knowledge any other target gains when succeeding a Knowledge check to answer a question within its field of study or identify a monster and its special powers or vulnerabilities. Lore Master Ex : With the exception of your checks to identify monsters, you likely won't make more than a few knowledge checks in a day, so make sure that you get as much out of them as possible. It removes all of the Bard's abilities as a Support and Librarian, and go on a bunch of really cool Striker abilities. As a bonus action, you can use it to give one of your allies an extra d6 to add to their ability check, attack roll, or saving throw.

Penumbral Disguise : Mask your features with shadowy illumination. Stolen Light F wsight Store images within a gem. Bards must be one of the rare few classes that can fit half-elf in, but only if the great alternative class levels from races of destiny are available to you. Anonymous Interaction : Creatures forget details about you and conversations with you. You trade a couple of class features for a gun and amateur gunslinger. Wall of Silver : Wall of energy that only blocks and affects evil creatures and spells Whip of Centipedes : Create a whip made of poisonous centipedes.

You gain more as you continue to level up. Or do you have a document you want me to host? Ultimately the effect is that Create Water takes far more effort to cast, raising the level of the spell in proportion to how inhospitable the area is. Versatile Spellcaster RotD : This is a nice option on many levels. Eldritch Scrapper. I'm not at all familiar with the Pathfinder supplements, so I could use some experienced advice on whether there are some bard-only gems tucked away in other books. Bestow Insight. Undead Paragon Classes II: Ghoul, Lich and Mummy

Losing fast movement for a much weaker fast movement sucks though, especially because horses are already pretty fast. Paizo has already severely limited Magic-Users in 2E. World Traveler Ex : The list of knowledge skills is decent, but Linguistics really won't get you anything interesting. Animal gains a new general purpose. It's not called common because the sense is common, it's called common because it's about common things. Spell Tracker.

  • But cet la vi. Better, you get to pick the spells rather than be forced to a specific list.

  • Grant ability to speak, read, and write one or more languages for 8 hours. The concept is really fun, and the abilities are good on their own, but you give up the Bard's signature features Bardic Performance and their versatility with skills for some very limited luck bonuses and a sligthly better version of Trapfinding.

  • The bonus appears to be typeless, which is even better.

  • Ancestral Harbinger Dip versatility -1, power -1; Full versatility -1, power -1 : For a Dip, pqthfinder 2nd level this trades out Uncanny Dodge for Spiritual Weapon and only once per day that you aren't going to scale up because you aren't going to take any more Bloodrager levels in a Dip. Create Water: This is Level 1 regardless of edition.

You gain the correct native accent and mannerisms when you speak a language with a spell like eeight, granting you bonuses to interactions with native speakers of that language. Regain one use of all 0 and 1st-level spell-like abilities of a racial trait. They Know. Delusional Pride. Conversing Wind. Tea party to inspire competence with Perception.

Versatile Weapon. Dancing Lights. Grieving target can take no actions and is denied its Dex bonus. Gain haste while maintaining bardic performance. Deal sonic damage and daze target. Restful Sleep.

Gunslingers get ways to ignore the chance of them exploding and make them stupidly affordable and marketable. If you have studied history, you might now access to water is an outsized requirement for geographic locations of early settlement. Both are unlimited use and do the exact same thing as light spells.

False Future. Retrieve Item. Wall of Sound. Tiny Hut. Coupled with the ability to disable traps, and you are basically a Rogue with a magical guitar.

  • A rather weird archetype with a rather extreme focus on dragons, it unfortunately trades off one of the better bloodline arcanas for a significantly worse one and loses access to the draconic bloodline's rather good list of bloodline feats.

  • Charitable Impulse : CotR Ahaha! This gets better if you have the trait Defensive Strategist to compensate for the loss of Uncanny Dodge.

It depends on the kind of game you want to run. This pathfinder bard guide spells to lose weight decent trade for favored enemy. Their best ability is probably sure footed, which is actually quite nice, but doesn't make up for the other shortcomings. You're not the prime on Sense Motive and Spellcraft but you need one for being party face and the other to justify some actions against spells. Soften him by dispelling Stoneskin. Compassionate Ally. Minor Dream.

Survival on the other hand has much more applications in a game not to mention that you become an instant tracker by acquiring a familiar with track and scent. Cloak of Shadows : Shadows protect weihgt from bright light weigh grants defensive abilities Commune with Texts M : Quckly search though a collection of texts to find the right information Compelling Rant : People believe your ridiculous speech as long as you keep talking Crime Wave : Compel targets to commit criminal actions. No effect on a Dip unless you go to 3rd level in which case the 1st rank of Defensive Flurry is nice ; at higher levels this trades out defense in favor of slicing and dicing with two weapons eventually including two one-handed weapons or a double weapon however, Rules As Written, Defensive Flurry doesn't work with a double weapon, although Rules As Intended it probably should. Mongrel Mage. Walking at your speed or less in a turn is the same pace you would use when walking casually, without hurry.

If for some reason you really want Improved Unarmed Strike and a Combat Style feat and tuide make the feats fit in otherwise, this is barely acceptable; otherwise pass. Mending: again, sure, this can be used to repair broken ammunition. Magic item caches get spotted by Detect Magic? Indomitable will is an awesome ability, and losing it for hide from constructs that costs 1 round of rage per round using it sucks ALOT, and also is quite strange flavor wise. Sacremental Alchemist.   • Don't be afraid to join the fray! This archetype is somewhat weird in that its biggest downside isn't actually a changed or lost class feature, but rather that it reduces your effective Alchemist level for the purpose of qualifying for discoveries though thankfully not for the effect of those discoveries.

  • Seems useless for a Dawnflower Dervish. Because the Dervish Dancer is a Striker archetype, your Charisma may be lower than your Dexterity, at which point you may be better served completely ignoring this ability.

Hellknight Hellknight Guide Holy Vindicator. Guife Fear : One creature of 5 HD or less flees for 1d4 rounds. Zenith March 21, at PM. This spell lasting an hour a level essentially gives you a move equivalent action each round. Mindlocked Messenger : Target gains a message that can be given only to its intended recipient. Dispel Magic, Greater. Modify Memory. Go to the Bard Spell List Filter page. Know Direction. Allies can hustle without penalty while you sing or chant. These spells are considered optional rules, as described in Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.

Undead Paragon Classes III: Banshee, Ghost & Wraith

For Dhampir wizards this is especially blue, as you now have a reliable source of healing with going to a cleric for help. I used to believe so, but after playtesting it turns out to be awesome. Did it shatter into dozens splinters after hitting armor at a bad angle thus making it not able to be mended due to not being able to find ALL the bits.

Is evocation underpowered compared to conjuration? Lover's Vengeance M : Inspire yourself or a lover into a rage against someone who wronged you. The other benefits are niche, and its capstone ability can be more-or-less duplicated by the first-level spell Saving Finale, but the archetype doesn't lose a lot either. It replaces countersong, which is a bad idea anyway. Cyber-Soldier No effect on a Dip, and too campaign-specific to rate for full. Evade reach is a nice trick, and Titan rage is quite good. In Pathfinder it takes 10 minutes to cast and only fixes one item per cast and all parts of that item must be present.

Animal Ambassador. Unearthly and infectious song that seductively summons up to 24 HD of creatures and fascinate them. Originally Posted by grarrrg. If you take this archetype without the Fate's Favored trait, you are making a very poor life choice. Desperate Weapon.

Gives up loads for some very wishy washy abilities I'll poke around, but take it off the list for now. I realized early on that while the class guides have their thoughts and general recommendations for specific class archetype, I have not found any that have all the class archetypes. I suspect, we fundamentally disagree about the role of magic in the world. This archetype works best if you have some way to reliably benefit from lighting levels, for instance by combining it with the Bramble Brewer archetype. For a Dip or Full progression, Shattering Strike is somewhat worse than Bravery; if you go to 3rd level, Overhand Chop improves your damage output, although to get good use of this in a Dip, you need a race that gets a bonus to Strength AND a bonus to whatever other key ability score you have, OR a super bonus to Strength AND no penalty to whatever other key ability score you have sorry, Orc Scarred Witch Doctor -- you just got nerfed hard-core, while your Half-Orc brethren going conventional Witch just got boosted into the stratosphere.

One creature is confused for 1 round. I also won't cover Unearthed Arcana content because it's not finalized, and I can't guarantee that gyide will be available to you in your games. Delusional Pride. Remember that the spell becomes permanent if you keep it running for an hour, so you can also use this to permanently turn yourself or someone else into a monster or a dragon or something. This used to be good for Archers but they have received strong teamwork option over the spelks few years so this Archetype is really only for the very unimaginative. Mage Hand : 5-pound telekinesis. Power 0Versatility 0. OK if you want something a bit RP thematic but other than that Zenith July 27, at AM. A scroll spell for the paranoid adventurers at best. Inspire Courage works very well with Power Attack and two handed weapons, so make sure to advice your teammates accordingly.

Wizened Appearance. Half-Orc : A very different feel from the Half-Elf but many of the same benefits. Flickering Lights. Delay Pain. Subjective Reality. Steal Voice. Snapdragon Fireworks.

However, the total number sspells tradeoffs are relatively small so although the benefits are meager if you don't need that discovery it could be used. It eventually lets you deliver touch spells with these arrows, gets a magic bow at half the price, and perception as a class skill. The other tradeoffs are mostly neutral, and not worth the power-down. This subclass is perfect for Bards who are interested as much in combat as they are with typical bardic musings. Soar the Skies as a Dragon!

Brilliant Inspiration : Patfinder best of two d20 rolls. Unknown July 26, at AM. Denounce : Worsens creatures' attitudes. Zenith August 21, at PM. Oh, and Purify Food and Drink also lets you restore rotten food or negates any poison, so feel free to take raw meat on campaign for weeks and just Purify it when ready to cook!

They can make respectable skirmishers if you take the Arcane Duelist or Dawnflower Dervish archetype. The bonus confers the usual benefit to skills and abilities based on the ability enhanced, but does not affect bonus spells or skill ranks. You overstimulate the target with alternating flashes of light and shadow within its eyes, wdight its pupils to rapidly dilate and contract. The target automatically misses with attacks against creatures that psells not of the opposite alignment of it. You use material from the Shadow Plane to cast a quasi-real, illusory version of a psychicsorcereror wizard enchantment spell of 2nd level or lower. Combined with Slumber Song, you can sneak into rooms and end encounters in the surprise round with a very impressive save DC. The time now is AM.

Even if the campaign uses them, losing Alchemy isn't worth weighf small benefits you get.
